Photo by Maya LakhaniI’m Guy Joben!
I am an award winning concert photographer based in London, UK who has been working in the industry since 2009. Not only was photographing We Are Scientists at Exeter University the first band I captured, but it was also one of the first gigs I went to which I wasn’t performing at!
My background is working in video, where I shoot or edit daily, using cameras such as the C300 MK3 with cinema glass, the Canon C70 or the Canon 1DXIII. This has taken me all over the world for a variety of productions, including; filming content for Jaguar in LA, filming content for Shell in Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia, filming in the Philippines multiple times for FWD Insurance and even filming in the Brazil & India slums for Unilever. I was also part of a small team winning a Silver Telly Award for a short documentary for Happy Egg, with my contributions as Director. I am highly trustworthy, hard working and can guarantee quality is delivered.
My passion however is music, where I have been performing live on stage in bands since the age of 16. In 2024 I performed at Glastonbury Festival, and in 2025 Latitude Festival playing guitar for Maya Lakhani. I not only understand the stage, but understand the arena.
I specialise in capturing live events, band portraits, press photos, album / single covers, creative concepts, all which can take place in the studio or on location. I travel throughout the UK and also worldwide.
